Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction at KU
Effective Dec. 2, 2016: To meet the demands and schedules of current teachers and educators, the Department of Curriculum & Teaching will offer this Master’s degree program in a fully-online delivery format beginning in Summer 2017. More information on the online program can be found here.
The Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction* at the University of Kansas School of Education consists of 36 (or 30) credit hours, and is built around the intent to address critical issues in today’s learning, teaching, and curriculum. There are two master's program track options, which include:
- 30 credit hour option with a thesis or project
- 36 credit hour option with an examination

- Nationally-accredited Program - The KU School of Education is accredited under the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Standards through the CAEP Accreditation System.
*This program is a Master of Science in Education (MSE) in Curriculum & Instruction. This program does not lead to initial or advanced teaching licensure.
