Biography —
Lonna Summers Rocha joined the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at KU in 2016. Rocha earned a BA in English and Spanish from Southwestern College in Kansas, an MA and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas. Rocha was a bilingual paraeducator for preK-12 students and taught English to college students and adults in the U.S. and Mexico. Rocha has taught graduate and undergraduate courses for in-service and pre-service teachers and provided professional development workshops to educators, community members, and migrant family advocates.
